Blog Challenge: Day 6

Day 6: A photo of an animal you’d love to keep as a pet

HORSES!!!!!!! I absolutely adore horses! They are the most beautiful creature on earth and am determined to own a couple when I’m older and have some land :). I’ve decided I want horses and cows :D.. and chickens lol. Other animals I’m obsessed with and would love to keep as pets are elephants, giraffes, lions, and camels… but that’s a tad more difficult to pull off ;P

Blog Challenge: Belated Day 2

Day 2: A photo of something you ate today

So I noticed today that I completely forgot to post up Day Two's challenge ^-^ whoops. I thought I'd do it today, even though it's a few days late, and it's my least favorite post... but whatever, I'm doing it.
This is probably one of the worst things you could have for breakfast but it's what I had this morning -_-: coffee with some sort of yummy apple, sugary pastry thing... lol. I don't usually eat sweets in the morning but this morning I thought, "Eh, what the hell." So there ya go, my breakfast ^-^.

Blog Challenge: Day 5

Day 5: A photo of yourself two years ago

This picture is from October, 2008; so it’s just over two years old. It was Spirit Week at my school and this day happened to be “Tacky Day”.. so you basically dress yourself to look like a fool. It’s a fun picture and reminds me of all the wonderful times I have during my last year of high school :)

Blog Challenge: Day 4

Day 4: Your favorite photograph of your best friend

I have many best friends :)… but the one pictured is probably my closest one and the one I absolutely never get tired of spending time with. There’s never a dull moment when we’re together. There’s so many pictures of us that I absolutely love but I chose this one because it was fun and that’s our relationship: fun. She’s awesome and I love her to death! So yeap, day 4: check!

Blog Challenge: Day 3

Day 3: Your idea of the perfect first date.

Let’s see… my idea of a perfect first date… keep it simple, keep it comfortable. I don’t need (or want, for that matter) to be taken somewhere formal or somewhere expensive to be impressed. Ice cream at Coldstone or grabbing coffee at Starbucks sounds about right for me :) hehe… maybe even just taking a walk at a park or something. Anywhere that’s casual and we can talk and get to know each other is absolutely perfect. Day 3: check!

picture found on google :) thanks google.

Book Ramble: Twenties Girl

I bought Twenties Girl sometime during June of last year but never got around to reading it. Actually, I began to read it but it just was not interesting enough to keep me going. Well, I picked it up again this morning and decided that since I paid a good $15 on it and it is by Sophie Kinsella, who is one of my favorite authors, I was going to finish it. I’ve finished the book and I should have never doubted Sophie Kinsella because this book did not fail! I absolutely loved it! It was a little slow in the beginning couple chapters and was not keeping my interest; but a few chapters in and I was not able to put the book down. Now I’ve finished the book and it’s officially one of my favorite Kinsella books.

Can You Keep A Secret? Has been my favorite of Kinsella’s up until now and I think Twenties Girl is a good contender for first place. It was just so different than her other books in the sense that it concentrated on a friendship rather than on a romantic relationship or the main character herself, as her other books are concentrated on. I started reading it today because I was in the mood for something light and funny (a chick-read) since I just recently finished a beautiful, but serious, book. Naturally, I went for a Sophie Kinsella book on my bookshelf and I’m so glad I picked this one! It was definitely $15 well spent :).

Anyway, I just wanted to quickly ramble about the book since I am so excited about how great it was and how entertaining, witty, and endearing it was. Sophie Kinsella has yet to fail me and I will never doubt her again. If anyone enjoys reading light and funny novels, Sophie Kinsella is definitely where it’s at :P.

Until next time :)

My Daily Face Routine

My good camera is currently broken so I can't really upload tutorials right now since the quality of the pictures would not be good enough. Therefore, I decided to post up a daily face routine since that doesn't really require excellent-quality pictures, at least not with my routine.
All I use on a daily basis is concealer, mineral powder foundation, bronzer, eyeliner, mascara, and something to fill in my eyebrows. It's a simple routine and it only takes me about 10 minutes.

List of products:
-Aveeno 'Clear Complexion' Daily Moisturizer
-Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream
-Maybelline Super Stay Concealer 24HR in Medium Beige
-MAC Mineralize SPF 15 Loose Foundation in Medium Plus
-N.Y.C. Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny
-Rimmel Soft Kohl Eye Liner Pencil in Black
-CoverGirl Exact Eyelights Mascara in Black Gold
-Revlon Brow Fantasy eyebrow pencil in Brunette
-Burt's Bees Medicated Lip Balm (not pictured)
Before Picture:

1. I use Aveeno to moisturize my whole face and Cetaphil to add extra moisture on my really dry areas (around my mouth, nose, and hairline). Then I'll add sunscreen but forgot to do so today :P
2. Then I put just a tiny amount of concealer under my eyes, around my nose, and under my bottom lip, as well as on any breakouts or blemishes.
3. Using a powder brush, I apply a light layer of MAC's mineralized foundation
4. With the same brush, I apply bronzer right under my cheekbones
5. I usually line my top lash line, my tightline, and waterline--lately though, I've been trying out lining my top lash line only :); but today I did lined my tightline and waterline.
6. I usually use CoverGirl's Lash Blast Volume in Black Brown but am trying out the new mascara today so I applied one coat of that :)
7. I lightly fill in my eyebrows with either my Revlon pencil or an eyeshadow but today I used the pencil.
8. And that's it!! I put on some lip balm and I'm finished :)

All pictures except for the first were taken on my cell phone and the quality is pretty okay but did wash out my skin tone a little bit. The first picture, taken on an old camera, shows my skin tone a little bit better :). Hope you enjoyed this post and maybe get some ideas on how to tone-down or play-up your routine. It's a very quick one that keeps my face looking natural but just accentuate my features a bit.

Until next time :)

Blog Challenge: Day 1

A photo of yourself and a description of how your day was.

This is a picture taken on my webcam... so it's not the best quality :P. Anyway, today was a pretty great day. I'm on Winter Break right now so I don't have much to do. I got a bad cold a little over a week ago and today was the first day I actually felt (almost) back to normal! I had on-and-off fevers for the first few days and a horrible dry cough that wouldn't budge. The cough is pretty much still here and it's still difficult to be up and walking around without running out of breath and having a cough attack.
Since I felt pretty good today, I actually put some makeup on and an outfit together (I've been in sweats for over a week and, although I love sweats and I was comfy, they were starting to make me feel pretty 'blah'). I headed over to Walmart to buy some feminine products, Midol, and a new mascara (of which I'll post a review when I try it out a couple times). When I came home I felt pretty tired and short of breath but it was really nice to get out of the house! So... although nothing special happened, it was a good day :).

New Year, New Commitment

Well, I haven't made a new post since last May, I believe. That's quite a long time. After I took a trip to California in June, I wasn't really into doing my makeup so extravagantly every day and, therefore, didn't feel like doing tutorials. I started just swiping some eyeliner and mascara on everyday and that was that. Well recently I've began to miss experimenting with makeup and blog about my tutorials which is why I'm back.

I realize this blog wasn't just about makeup and could have blogged about other things, which I wish I had, but I just got really lazy about making videos on YouTube and blogging so just abandoned everything, I guess you could say. I don't plan on reactivating my YouTube because making and editing videos is quite time-consuming and I'm planning on concentrating a lot of time on school, work, and such.

However, I do plan on being more committed to my blog in order to share my ideas and thoughts and gain more followers who are interested in what I have to say (or blog).
I hope this new-year commitment sticks ^-^ and do not forget to share my blog with your friends.

Sincerely, Me.
